Miles For Mitzie's Birth-race?

I just had to share pictures of my mom at the first ever 'Miles For Mitzie' team event.  It was the Terry Fox Run in Houston around September of 1999.

    Mitzie had just gotten out of the hospital after her fourth major abdominal surgery. She should have been home in bed, but she wasn't going to let these people go out there for a run in her honor without coming to see them. Yes, Lauri, she knew that she was loved that day.
