 An Ovarian Cancer Gene?

With a family history like mine, I find this article particularly interesting. I lost both my mother and my maternal grandmother to ovarian cancer. My grandmother also had breast cancer - TWICE! 
This kind of a discovery could change how women with a family history of ovarian and breast cancer are screened. And it could eventually help target ovarian cancer treatment and make it more effective. This is a huge advancement!

Study indicates that fallopian cells are the actual source of ovarian cancer. These kinds of advances in research can help more directly target ovarianc cancer treatment and help discover proteins in the blood that would make early detection easier! Great news!
