Miles For Mitzie's Birth-race?

I just had to share pictures of my mom at the first ever 'Miles For Mitzie' team event.  It was the Terry Fox Run in Houston around September of 1999.

Here's mom with Lisa Leslie

The cheer squad!!

Some family friends showing their support.

I know she felt so loved that day.  What an awesome day!  Let's make it happen again!!  Sign up for the MD Anderson Sprint for Life 5K benefitting the Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Research Fund!  I want 'Miles for Mitzie' to be the biggest team out there.

Here's where you can sign up - as a team - search for 'Miles for Mitzie'

Be Determined...

The Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Most of us don’t just luck into things, we have to take it step by step. You don’t have to know everything in advance to begin, you only have to know enough to take the first step. With effort, you will learn what you need to proceed to the second step and the third step, and so on. So go ahead, take that first step and see what happens.

Changing Course: Under Construction

The blog has a new look!  Yay!!

It is my goal to turn 'Miles for Mitzie' into a 501c3 non-profit so therefore I thought the blog needed to appear more focused and professional.  I've even included my first draft mission statement under the title - please tell me what you think in the comments of the post below.

I also felt it was necessary to delete the majority of my previous posts in an effort to fall within the guidelines of the current 'Miles for Mitzie' mission statement.

This may be a slow process, so be patient, but I promise to be more professional, focused and energized about this new direction.  I am researching like crazy to make sure I do this the right way...or at least the best way I know possible!  I am open to ideas and definately help, too.

As always, thank you!
